Copious Crush: Amberly, A Slice of Glam

Meet Amberly, the Dallas/Ft. Worth bloginista behind A Slice of Glam. We aspire to Amberly’s goal of adding a little touch of something special to your everyday. Isn’t that just the chicest?

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

My name is Amberly, and I currently live in Fort Worth, Texas which is about 30 miles west of Dallas.  I work full-time in the mortgage industry, and blog part- time. I’ve always loved fashion, magazines, social media, and writing, so a blog was natural for me.   I also needed an outlet for me to share my love of fashion, home décor, diy, recipes, personal style, and other little tidbits of my life here and there. I brainstormed several names and what I wanted my blog to be about and A Slice of Glam was born!

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is classic, with a touch of glam.  I tend to stick with denim, nice blouses, and a little pop of color with shoes or a bag.  I also enjoy mixing in some of my mom’s old jewelry pieces that are timeless pieces and are still on trend today.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

Oh my!  Probably wearing leggings as pants.  They’re still fine to wear just relaxing at home, or with an oversized sweater.  However, wearing them primarily as pants?  Never again!

Also, Doc Marten’s!  I had a pair of boots AND sandals back in middle school.  Those were THE shoes to have back then, but now I look at them and think, why?!  So huge and clunky.

One item I won’t stop wearing is a great pair of flats.  Whether they are pointy toed or rounded, I LOVE flats.  I literally have to force myself to wear heels every now and then.  Flats are ideal for my full-time job, are great with skinny jeans or pants, and look feminine and cute.  They are also just plain comfortable!

What inspires you?

Life inspires me.  Just the fact that we’re able to wake up each day to work toward our dreams, and make a positive impact is exciting!

Street style fashion also inspires me.  I read a lot of fashion magazines, spend hours on Pinterest, and other style blogs, but I love picking up ideas from other fashionable ladies especially here in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  People from other places probably think we all wear cowboy hats and boots all the time, but that’s not totally true.  North Texas area women have a style all their own that is classic, relaxed, a bit of glam, and a little trendy.

Tell me about A Slice of Glam. How did you get started? What are your goals?

I started A Slice of Glam in July 2011 because I wanted to write and talk about fashion.  I’ve always loved fashion and writing, and I even had somewhat of a blog back in middle school that I would e-mail to my group of friends way back before blogging was the “thing”.  A Slice of Glam has opened up many doors for me. It has also allowed me to connect with others in the blogging community around the country who have similar interests and probably would not have met otherwise.  It really is amazing when I think about it.  My goal with my blog is to inspire others to live an elevated lifestyle with small things to make themselves feel glamorous.  This could be with a bouquet of fresh flowers, a fresh manicure, or a DIY rhinestone vase for their coffee table as I demonstrated on my blog.  I also hope to work in the fashion writing industry one day.

What bloggers do you admire?

One blogger I admire is Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere.  I’ve read her blog pretty much from the beginning, and I love how she has turned her blog into a brand and into a business.  I hope to do that one day.

What are you listening to right now?

Right now I’m listening to Jusitin Timberlake’s new album, The Band Perry, Beyonce, Ellie Goulding, or Alicia Keys.  There are many others as I listen to a variety of genres.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

It would begin with coffee and a banana nut muffin at a cute beach side coffee shop.  Spend part of the morning at the beach, and then the other half shopping.  Have a candlelit dinner with my boyfriend, and then some salsa dancing or a jazz club!

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

Blogging has introduced me to graphic design!  I love nerding out over HTML coding, fonts, and graphics.  Ha!

Copious Crush: Bree Cooley, Stylist Diva

image

Things we like about Bree: 1) Her killer eye for fashion style, 2) Her wicked sense of humor, and 3) her love for Johnny Depp (definitely not alone there, Bree!). Meet this LA stylist, and shop Bree’s amazing Gatsby finds on Copious here: http://copious.com/profiles/stylist-diva/collections/decadent-indulgence-inspired-by-the-great-gatsby

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hello ladies & gents! I’m Bree Cooley, Style Expert and the voice behind Stylist Diva, where I share my shopping style picks, inspiration and sometimes downright sillyness. I’m based in Los Angeles and when I’m not blogging, I’m styling or designing costumes.

How would you describe your personal style?

Simple, Chic, Classy and Comfortable and Chic. Structure, everyone should wear structured pieces. It can enhance the good parts and hide the bad ones. I LOVE accessories, a bold necklace, statement ring and bags. Bags for days…

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

I never have regrets about anything, even fashion.  Yes, I do remember those times when I used to think that my zebra fur print platforms were beyond glam but now I can only laugh at those pics and see how far I’ve come.

What inspires you?

Everything. Movies, musicians, museums, street art, people watching at the airport, trips to Denmark, flea markets. LOVE anything vintage! When it comes to costume design or styling I like to think outside of the box.

Tell me about StylistDiva.com. Where did the name come from? What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?

I started my blog over 5 years ago and wanted a name that described who I was, but not just any Stylist, but one that has been around and knows a thing or two. Stylist Diva was born, but soon after I really wanted to change the name but it was too late. The funny thing is that I’m the most real and down to earth person you will meet and I’m the farthest thing from a Diva.  My focus is great design. Structure. Craftsmanship. Color. Inspiration. If you can’t afford the Oscar De La Renta gown I’m coveting,  then maybe it can just inspire you instead. My goals for this year are just to be able to catch up with projects, ideas and post more often. I’ve recently grown my team now, so between the four of us, big things are to come!

What are you listening to right now?

Oh Land, Fever Ray, Icona Pop, Beatles and Michael Jackson, always Michael Jackson

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

An Ideal day or normal day? My ideal day is being on a tropical island with Johnny Depp, sipping mojitos while he fetches more rum. But my normal day consists of working in my home office, drinking too much coffee, taking breaks to play with Abbie & Lucy, my dogs (and the loves of my life) and trying to type as fast as I can. On other days I’m out shopping, pulling clothes for a shoot or meeting clients at an outdoor cafe. (one of the many perks LA has to offer!)

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

I’m funny. Maybe not in the “stand-up” kind of way, but I promise you, I can keep you laughing for days with my witty, sarcastic sense of humor!

What are you loving on Copious right now?

I’m loving this vintage floral blazer:

Inside Copious: Kaitlyn Barclay, Super Flexible Community Manager

image

Meet Kaitlyn: Portland native, community whisperer and yogini. Need a fresh batch of quinoa, a stretchy pant or a sweet dance jam? Kaitlyn’s your lady.

Shop Kaitlyn’s closet on Copious here: http://copious.com/profiles/kaitlyn-barclay

Introduce yourself.  Who are you?  What do you do at Copious?

I’m Kaitlyn, resident Community Manager at Copious and in-house printed spandex addict.

Tell us your background.  Where’d you come from?

I hail from Portland, Oregon.  I was a start-up junkie in college and first dabbled in Silicon Valley with Wildfire Interactive while they were in the FB Fund.  Since then I’ve worked with a number of companies ranging from healthcare to social business.  I’m pretty keen on the social commerce space so it’s a lot of fun working to build Copious.

What do you do when you’re not working?

Practicing yoga, buying more printed spandex and drinking wine.

How would you describe your personal style?

My style is ecclectic and pretty boho chic. I love dressing for my mood because it makes personal fashion a bit less predictable.

What’s your favorite yoga pose?

While I love fun stuff like inversions and feats of flexibility, I think my favorite (and most challenging) posture is shavasana also known as corpse pose.  It’s an instrumental posture for soaking up all the goodness from your yoga practice.  It lets your body settle along with your mind; the latter being the challenging part for myself. I love throwing in a shavasana after a particularly hard sequence.  It’s fun to mix fast paced movement with quiet asanas.  It forces you to be present.

Leggings: Everyday flare, or purely casual wear? (We already know the answer to this one)

Everyday flare (obviously).

Macklemore or R-Gos?

This is like choosing a favorite child.  Totally unfair.  That being said, everyone has a favorite child.  I’d go with Macklemore.

Show us what you love on Copious:

Copious Crush: Ashlei, Kinks Are The New Pink

image

We knew we would meet a ton of cool bloggers at Lucky FABB in April, but it was fate that sat us right next to Ashlei from Kinks Are The New Pink. Witty, hilarious, and totally digitally connected, Ashlei was a breath of fresh air in muggy LA.

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hi there! My name is Ashlei and I’m the author of Kinks are the new Pink, a personal style and natural hair blog. I currently live in Chicago and when not blogging most of my time is spent managing a resale clothing store.

How would you describe your personal style?

It’s hard to pin point my personal style as I feel it’s always evolving, especially since I started my blog. However, I will say that I tend to gravitate to more ‘casual-chic’ looks, with a touch of bohemian elements. I love relaxed boyfriend jeans paired with a sharp blazer and killer shoes, cotton shorts with loafers, chunky jewelry, and flowy maxi dresses.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

In college I would wear leggings under a denim skirt paired with flip flops, a lot! It’s just a really awkward look as it’s disproportionate and can make you look shorter than you really are. Something that I’ll never stop wearing though are maxi dresses, even in the winter I wear maxi dresses, they’re just so versatile and easy to wear to me.

Tell me about Kinks Are The New Pink. How did you get started? What are your goals?

Kinks are the new Pink originally started as a way to chronicle my day-to-day life as I transitioned from relaxed to natural hair, more so for my family to keep track of my progress than anything.I really enjoyed sharing my stories and started getting positive feedback from people outside my family and friends circle, especially when I started incorporating more personal style and fashion related posts and it’s just continued to grow from there.

My overall goal is to make KATNP a really positive and encouraging space on the web for people to gain inspiration and knowledge about style and natural hair.

What bloggers do you admire?

Omg, so many! I’d definitely have to say Cynthia from SimplyCyn (aka Addicted2Etsy) for both her style and natural hair, Alicia fromCheetah is the new Black is a daily must read, and I’ve followed Karen from Where Did You Get That since as long as I can remember.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day would be a warm summer day spent outside either on a boat, in the park, or on a beach somewhere with a really cool and chill group of friends, and lots of cocktails, preferably mojitos, haha!

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

I’m a huge travel junkie! I blame it on growing up as an Air Force brat and moving every 2-3 years, but I love a good road trip and exploring new places. I typically share a lot of my travels on the blog as well.

What are you loving on Copious right now?

There are so many awesome things on Copious right now it was hard to just pick a few, but my favorites would have to be:

image

Alice Olivia floral pumps - I’m dying for a pair of floral pumps and these are perfect, unfortunately not my size, but I still like looking at them :)

image

Cambridge Satchel - love the satchel and the neon color is perfect for summer time. I’m actually seriously considering buying this.

image

Chicago Throw Pillow - I may be a little biased, but I think Chicago is pretty awesome ;) so I love it when I find Chicago-related home goods.

Last but certainly not least, Thanks Copious for the feature!

Copious Crush: Le Minimalist

image

Do you ever find something you really love, and then find out that one thing about it that makes it that much more amazing? It’s the best feeling, and it’s exactly what we love about Kathryn from Le Minimalist. Her blog is an amazing mix of style, local art and music happenings, and things around her she loves. Even better? She’s writing about Nashville, Tennessee, one of our absolute favorite cities, anywhere. (Go Dores!)

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

My name is Kathryn and I’m currently living in East Nashville, Tennessee. I’m a freelance writer, photographer and part time blogger. My blog, Le Minimalist started as a pet project to find a way to share and categorize all of the things I was passionate about. It focuses mostly on Nashville - the lifestyle and local businesses, but I also find plenty of ways incorporate DIY projects, style posts and random musings.

How would you describe your personal style?

As the name suggests, I’m pretty minimalistic in my wardrobe choices. I tend to lean toward structured things in neutral tones. I love classic colors that extend into different seasons, surpass trends and are easy to just throw on and go. I wear a lot of black. When I’m not wearing black, I’m probably wearing a shade of gray. Much like the book. Which I’ve read, and I’ve got to say - if you’re into that type of thing, I’d just go the extra mile and read Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. Fifty Shades… Pffft. Well great, now I have everyone thinking I’m some huge perv. Simplicity, structure, texture and expression are the reasons I find fashion fulfilling. I eat, sleep and breath it. Fashion is my soap box.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

Regrets? Never! Okay, maybe. The entirety of my High School experience. I wore hooded sweat shirts, band t-shirts and an excess of black eyeliner. Things I’ll never stop wearing: My Jeffrey Campbell collection, my Alexander Wang Rocco Bag, my old dirty boots - the older and dirtier they get the better they look.

What inspires you?

Nature. The flow of energy. Feelings. All of these things can be translated into an outfit. I love the way sunlight plays off of materials. It really makes my heart happy.

Tell me about Le Minimalist. How did you get started? What are your goals?

I started Le Minimalist to encourage myself to write more. I wanted an outlet and one that would hold me accountable. Having readers who enjoy your content, encourage you with comments and recognize you when you’re out buying soymilk at the grocery make it all worth while. I enjoy writing, but what is it all worth if there is no one around to read it?

I love the engagement of the fashion community. Especially in Nashville. It’s growing exponentially here. You’d be so surprised how a little city everyone believed was full of washed out country music stars and stetson hats could become such a stylish, versatile place. We have so many talented people here. Musicians, artists, stylists and designers. It’s a mishmash of awesome. My goal was to create something of a professional portfolio to use for jobs and future opportunities. Blogging has opened up so many doors for me professionally and even better still, personally. I’ve made so many great friends from networking!

What bloggers do you admire?

I can’t forget two of my favorite Nashville bloggers Under The Guise and Pennyweight - both very talented ladies!

Some of my all time favorites over the years would have to include A Pair and A Spare just because I LOVE DIY. The Man Repeller (Ed.note: Shop her closet here), plus size vixen Nadia Aboulhosn (She has some killer style) Honestly WTF and my favorite for minimalistic inspiration: Love Aesthetics.

What are you listening to right now?

The new Phoenix album, Bankrupt will be out soon so I have a feeling that will be the only thing I’ll be listening to.  I love Tennis, Ben Howard, Best Coast, Washed Out, Alt-J… the list could go on and on. Forever.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

Paris. Shopping. Sight seeing. Brad Pitt. All day and all night. hah.

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

I’m a huge sci-fi nerd. Not even kidding. I’m just generally obsessed with space. I swear I’ll write a sci-fi thriller one day.

What are you loving on Copious right now? Send me links of things you love and tell me why.

image

Chili Pepper Chocolate Bar // Two of my favorite things combined into one. Plus - look at this sweet packaging. Yeah. I’m totally one of those people who buy something based on the package it’s in.

image

Bill Murray Iphone Case // Being a huge Bill Murray fan, this snazzy Iphone case totally won me over. I may dress in a minimal fashion, but I’m all about some good accessories. Just looking at this thing makes me giggle.

Geo Terrarium // I’m  big fan of geometric shapes and I love plants. I may not be a successful gardener, but terrariums are easy enough for my ‘opposite of a green thumb’  problem.

Copious Crush: Lexie, One Stylishly Caffeinated Blogger

image
We just discovered Lexie of Style, Caffeinated and we’re so glad we did. Her blog is a beautiful mix of airy images and down-to-earth-but-pulled-together looks.
The only question we forgot to ask Lexie? What her favorite coffee drink is!

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hi, I’m Lexie from Newport Beach, California. I write the fashion blog Style, Caffeinated.  I’ve always had a deep love of clothing and style in general and for as long as I can remember I’ve gushed over trends, looks, and shopping in general with my girlfriends.

The blog was born out of my desire for a personal creative outlet after I had my second child and I began to feel like I was drowning a little in diapers, bottles and baby talk ;)  Truly there is nothing I love more than my family and being a Mother but I also felt the need to nurture my own interests as well.  I really don’t believe that being a Mommy and also having your own fab personal style has to be mutually exclusive ;) Combining my obsession with fashion and my love of writing felt natural and I’ve been enjoying blogging so much ever since.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style tends to shift dependent on my mood or what Im up to on any given day.  I’d say on a whole I gravitate more towards a classic glam look with a bit of an edge.  My high heel addiction is a little out of control but I also tend to live in converse, high tops and flip flops when Im shuttling my kids around.  Converse will also be a staple in my wardrobe.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

Fashion regrets.  Hmm none as of late but ask me again in a few years - ha ha.  I always look back on old photos and wonder “what I was thinking!?” but thats just fashion.  Style changes.  I will say that I went through an unfortunate phase of coloring my own hair many, many years ago.  It wasn’t pretty.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by so many things.  I love magazines. I know Pinterest is amazing for collecting inspiration but I will never stop loving flipping through fashion magazines and dog earing or tearing out photos I love.  I’m also inspired by my girlfriends, many of whom are also mothers, who have fantastic taste and juggle life so well.  Street style and people watching is also a great way to spot some amazing looks.

What bloggers do you admire?

Other blogs I admire.  Who doesn’t love Leandra Medine (from Man Repeller) (ed. note: shop Man Repeller’s closet on Copious here)?  Its rare to find a fashion blog you actually want to READ instead of just look at.  Her writing is incredible and witty.
I love www.sacramentostreet.com - its a beautiful, welcoming blog and also the photo blog www.theyallhateus.com.  Its edgy and I tend to love every photo or quote they post.  Le Fashion (ed. note shop Le Fashion’s closet on Copious) and Sincerely Jules are also among my favs.

What are you listening to right now?

What am I listening to right now:  Everything ha ha.  I run a lot so I update my ipod frequently to keep it fresh.  My iPod ranges from 80s hits to Bon Jovi, to rap, and to newer favorite bands like The Lumineers.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day would involve sleeping in, something never happens anymore after you have children!  Waking up and sipping coffee while checking out my favorite sites online…and probably buying shoes ;)  Spending the day with the hubby and kids doing something fun - watching my kids laugh and enjoying family time is the best feeling…so rewarding as a parent.  Then an evening out with the mister or meeting up with friends for dinner.  Drinking wine and lots of laughs.  Thats a good day!!

What are you loving on Copious right now?

image

I’m loving gold as an accent color in home decor.  I’m really into contemporary, stark decor but sometimes I feel like rooms need to be infused with a bit of natural glitz…this would do just that.
image

These ghost chairs by Phillippe Starck are great.  They’d work in an office, as accent chairs in a small space or in a dining room/kitchen.  I love how they give off an airy and modern vibe - personally I’d mix them with a weathered light wood dining table or desk.  I think thats a great contrast.
image
https://copious.com/listings/jennifer-meyer-18kt-gold-bangle-with-white-diamond-goop-cohis dainty Jennifer Meyer bangle is the perfect wear with everything layering piece.  I think dainty jewels are so sexy in their minimalism.  Flashy jewels are eye catching and dramatic but dainty jewelry adds subtle character and charm to looks. I’d love a few of these teeny treasures dangling from my arm - they’re so pretty :)

Copious Crush: Jackie Giardina, Living After Midnite

image

Jackie Giardina from Living After Midnite is a triple-threat expert in fashion, beauty and interior decor. Her blog is a must-visit for tips on taking your look to the next level via the magic of the color wheel, and how-to’s on things like ombre nails (what? insane).

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hi! I’m Jackie Giardina from Living After Midnite. I live in Westchester, New York which is about 20 minutes north of NYC. Aside from blogging, I’m an office manager of a commercial construction company (no I’m not kidding!), I am a Regional Mentor for the direct selling fashion & beauty Company, mark., in charge of all the reps in NYC, Northern New Jersey & New York’s Hudson Valley!

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is hard to describe in words. I pretty much wear what I feel like wearing; it changes by the day. One day you’ll catch me wearing flare jeans & platforms then next day I’ll be in a girly dress & sandals. It all depends on the mood I’m in. I am known for over accessorizing though! I’m always wearing way too much jewelry (I can’t help it!), and I have a massive shoe & handbag collection that I love to show off!

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

In college I fell into the Hollister/Abecrombie trend because that’s what everyone else was wearing. I was never one to wear something because “everyone was doing it” so I look back at photos & I can’t help but wonder what I was thinking?!? I think going through that phase actually made me realize that whole look is SO not me, & it really helped me hone in on what my personal style was.

What inspires you?

A better question is what doesn’t inspire me? I’m inspired by literally everything I see, whether is someone on TV, in a magazine, walking on the street, or not a person at all! I’ve been really inspired lately by interior decorating. The fabrics, the trends, the colors…decorating a room is similar to dressing yourself.

Tell me about Living After Midnite. Where did the name come from? What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?

Living After Midnite is really my creative outlet for everything I’m passionate about in my life. The name “Living After Midnite” is actually a Judas Priest song that just happened to by playing on my step dad’s computer when Imade the decision to start a blog. I mainly focus on life, style & beauty, and anything else that strikes my fancy!

One of my main goals for this blog is to stay true to myself. I think that with so many brands and companies infiltrating the blogosphere its hard to stay true to your vision and the reason you started a blog to begin with. I just want my readers to know that I’m always posting about what I want to post about, not something I was paid to write about.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day would be spent exploring somewhere I’ve never been before. I love finding new & exciting things to do & see.

What are you loving on Copious right now?

#LuckyFABB Recap! The Business of Blogging

image
Last Thursday and Friday were a whirlwind of activity as bloggers and brands descended on Los Angeles for Lucky Magazine’s Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference.
This was a seriously fashionable crowd. Bloggers from around the country gathered to hear from the likes of Kelly Osbourne, Betsey Johnson and Drew Barrymore talk about their style inspirations. While no trip to LA is complete without a little stargazing, our favorite sessions were on the business of blogging: monetization, growing your traffic and finding your voice.

Our Top Takeaways from Lucky FABB:

1) Know Your Stats

Pay attention to your analytics, followers and engagement - brands will definitely ask for this before they agree to a partnership or sponsorship. Even if you’re not particularly data or numbers oriented, you should be interested enough in your blog’s performance to learn more about what your Google analytics mean.

2) Find a Niche

One of our favorite jokes from FABB was how it felt like you could interchange so many blog names with each other. (Really, every combination of the words fashion, style, diva, closet, glam, shoes, couture and sparkles have already been taken). If it’s hard for bloggers to differentiate between blog names, imagine how hard it is for brands!

3) Be Smart About Your Partners - and Read the Fine Print

Make sure the brands you partner with represent you as a blogger now, and who you aspire to be in the future. Don’t sign anything without reading the fine print - it’s worth the legal fees!

Tips for the Next Batch of FABBers:

1) BYOW (Bring Your Own Wifi)

As anyone who’s been to a conference knows, wifi and mobile connectivity can take a beating when you have 200 people in one room trying to get on the same network. Come juiced with your own wireless - Engadget recommends the MiFi Liberate

2) Reach Out Ahead of Time

It can be intimidating to walk into a room of 200 put-together, beautiful, smart bloggers. If you don’t know anyone ahead of time, reach out on Twitter or via email a week or two before and make plans to get breakfast or sit with a blogger you admire - it’s a great way to start out with a buddy, and it will put you at ease going into the day!

It was an exhausting, informative, and super fun two days.

Who To Know: Cherylanna, Jewelry Maven

image

Today we’re highlighting Copious jewelry goddess extraordinaire, Cherylanna. Her boho-chic aesthetic mixed with the unique materials she uses give her pieces a head-turning quality that keep us coming back for more.  Master of multi-tasking, Cherylanna runs her online business when she’s not making music, working as an esthetician or playing Supermom to her 2 children.  Love Cherylanna’s work as much as we do?  Get to know this rockstar seller a bit better:

Introduce yourself.  Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Cherylanna, I’m an esthetician, jewelry & accessories maker, and mother of 2 precious kiddos currently living in Indiana.

I have a little home studio where I love to create expressive pieces for my little business and to write music whenever I can.

How did Cherylanna as a jewelry line begin?

In 2005 I became interested in fashion design. I had planned on getting my fashion degree but started making my own jewelry because I couldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere. I started selling jewelry to family & friends…Then I gained some connections and also started selling in some boutiques.

Since then I’ve been transitioning from using Gem Tuesday to using my name Cherylanna as my label name. It kind of happened organically… So I’m liking how it feels and it will be what you see for the line in the future.

image

What influences your style as an artist?

I’m really influenced by shapes, clean lines, and patterns…also by the best of past fashions…even from the 30’s but I love to modernize them.

I love art deco… some 80’s and 90’s fashion too.

I really get inspired by street style blogs from all around the world.

Music is also one of the biggest influences on how I visualize a look or piece. It has definitely set the tone for what I make. I get inspired to create fashion pieces from the emotion and vibe the music sets for me.

How would you describe your personal style?

I think my style is maybe chic street style with some edginess. I like to wear some trends but without the look of trying too hard.

I love neutrals, pops of color, minimal color blocking and patterns, but always try to edit. I do wear a lot of black.

What jewelry trend do you love? On the flip side, what do wish would go away?

I love all the pastels. I had been waiting for the return of minty, coral, and peachy like colors for a long time.

I love edgy but I’m not a big fan of the more literal edginess like, skulls.

I know many people love them but for myself…I like for fashion pieces to speak for themselves.

Who are your top 3 fashion influencers?

When it comes to designers… I really love Dusen Dusen, Jen Kao, and Karen Walker. They are so amazing and their work is such an inspiration.

What can we expect from you in the future?

In the future I will be showing more clay and porcelain pieces, more lace, gemstones, and fabric jewelry. I will show more of my love for shiny metals in both subtle expressions and statement pieces.

Check out a few of Cherylanana’s favorite things on Copious:

Copious Crush: Amanda Lee, Blogger for In the Thick of It

image

To be honest, we can’t remember how we first found Amanda Lee and her blog, In the Thick of It, but at this point her blog has become a must-read for us. It’s like that song you hear over and over without really knowing it, until you realize you know all of the words and sing it at the top of your lungs. Amanda shares her favorite finds, outfit shots, and thoughts on finding the best duds for plus-size ladies. Bonus points? Look at that new cute pink ‘do!

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

I’m Amanda Lee.  I live in Chicago now, but I grew up in the Gulf Coast area (Houston, TX).  I’m a graphic artist, blogger and stylist. You can see some of my art on my site.

How would you describe your personal style?

Budget-conscious trendy with a strong pinch of goth. I basically really love the color black.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

It’s taken me years to craft my style - there were many years of floundering style-wise.  There were some embarrassing capri pants situations.  I can’t seem to stop wearing my denim jacket - it’s a staple in my closet.

What inspires you?

I draw inspiration from fellow fat-fashion bloggers like Nicolette Mason, Stephanie Zwicky and Gabi Fresh.  I also scour runway shows and tumblr.  And I obsessively visit art museums and people-watch on city streets anywhere I am to gather general aesthetic inspiration.

Tell me about In the Thick of It Fashion. Where did the name come from? What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?

In The Thick of It started a few years ago as just a way for me to explore my own style.  After many years of interacting with other plus size women online, I decided to just focus on my own outfits as a way to really craft a look.  The name is a play on the phrase “in the thick of it.”

I focus on budget-friendly style for plus size folks.  I am not at all interested in talking about weight-loss or dieting.  It’s very much a blog about loving your body as it is and dressing yourself in that body you have now. My goals for 2013 for the blog include a revamping of the site later this year, and working with a few more plus size partners and advertisers.

What are you listening to right now?

I am obsessed with late 70’s and early 80’s darkwave/synth…basically if it’s put out by Dark Entries label, I’m listening to it.  One of my favorites on my record player at the moment is the 1980s Belgian band, Parade Ground. As for new music - I’m very much looking forward to the new albums by Austra and The Knife this summer.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day starts with waking up with my partner S, getting dressed (we both love to really look stylish) and heading to a cafe.  I love to sit outside with a journal to write ideas or sketch while I have coffee and a croissant.  Then a little shopping - usually Nordstrom Rack, H&M, Topshop, Forever 21. Then perhaps meeting up with some friends for a late lunch and then home to hang out with our dogs and to watch a movie.  I’m a simple person and really love having quiet time.  While I do love dancing, I don’t like to go out super late very often - so tend to go out dancing once a month and really have a blast when I do.

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

It’s really important to me that fat bodies are taken seriously in fashion.  The reason it has taken me so long to really hone my style is that options for plus size folks have been MISERABLE in past years.  There are a great number of people that have done so much for fashion for plus size bodies and I’m excited to see that grow even more.

What are you loving on Copious right now? Send me links of things you love and tell me why.

putthison:

Bow ties and the V-area

My opinion on bow ties tends to go back and forth. Obviously, I prefer them for black tie. This leads me to think maybe I should buy a few to try with other more casual ensembles. But then I remember how frustrated I get when tying one and my preference toward neckties stands.

Regardless of whether I’ll eventually branch away from my comfort zone, I do think there are instances when a bow tie looks better on a man wearing a suit or jacket than others.

Unlike neckties, bow ties don’t venture vertically down the torso into the V-area created by the jacket’s lapels and the shirt underneath. Instead, they stay toward the top on the collar and push the attention toward one’s face, which is fine but also can create a problem.

If your jacket (typically a two-button, single-breasted) is cut in a way that has a very deep V-area, this can leave a huge expanse of fabric that’s not broken up down to the buttoning point. Combined with a bow tie, this can look awkward.

The solution is to wear the bow tie with outfits that expose less of the shirt to begin with. You can take the approach of Joseph Cotten above and wear a waistcoat, which makes three-piece suits ideal. Some double-breasted suits would also work as many of them have shallower V-areas.

Another option would be to layer a sweater, such as a cardigan or a deep V-neck under the jacket. I’ve also seen some three-button jackets with the lapels rolling on the second button that’s helped this problem, too.

Copious Crush: Lauren, From My Grey Desk

image

We’ll be honest, we first fell in love with Lauren due to our mutual affection for the four-legged, fluffy creatures known as cats. Upon diving a little deeper into her From My Grey Desk blog, we discovered so much more: an honest exploration of personal style (and style boundaries!) and helpful DIYs and how-tos.

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hi! I’m Lauren. I’m a Chicago transplant living in North Carolina, where I’m finishing up my undergraduate degree in Fashion Management & Marketing. I’m also a small business owner (my sister and I make and sell handmade jewelry online) and blogger, so I’m never bored. Oh, and I’m a lucky mom to two of the cutest orange   tabby cats around. Seriously, I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with them.

How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my personal style as mostly girly meets slight hipster meets a little bit of edginess meets classic. How’s that for not really answering the question at all and just listing every option?! My style tends to change from season to season, although I’ve never been a pure version of any style. I tend to incorporate bits and pieces of different styles to keep it interesting and add variety to my wardrobe.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

I have photographic proof that I wore silver coated denim when I was about 12 or 13 years old. What’s funny is metallic denim is in style now…I guess I was ahead of the curve ;) But seriously, they were about 3 inches too short and paired with a bright orange t-shirt. Not a great look.

What inspires you?
Probably what inspires me the most is other bloggers. Since becoming part of the “blogging world”, I’ve discovered so many fabulous women out there that have great personal style, which is where I get a lot of outfit inspiration from. Creatively, I’m inspired by magazines, Pinterest, and everyday things. I tend to have a spark of inspiration at the weirdest times, like while sitting on an airplane or walking down the street.

Tell me about From My Grey Desk. Where did the name come from? What
do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?
The name for my blog came from the idea of wanting to make my blog personal, as if I’m writing to each of my readers directly. I was sitting at my desk, trying to think of a name and a realized that, as I looked down at my computer, I was writing from my grey desk. So…that’s it!

My blog is a mix of just about anything. I share a lot of photos and inspiration for personal style, share recipes, DIY projects, and some more personal things about my life, too. I talk way too much about my cats, but I can’t help it. They’re just perfect.

I’m hoping to transition a little more into personal style for my blog in 2013. I really love clothes and styling and putting outfits together, so I’m hoping to share more of that this year. It’s just a matter of getting my trusty tripod and remote shutter release outside and snapping some photos everyday.

What are you listening to right now?
I’m actually not listening to anything currently, which is rare for me. But, I do have an old school Chris Brown song stuck in my head…don’t ask. Actually, I’ll explain. I listen to Pandora while working out and he sometimes pops up on it. He has a way of getting me to run a little faster on the treadmill than, say, Mumford & Sons.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?
My ideal day would be spent in some new city, exploring new places, probably with my boyfriend or my sister. Or both. That would be pretty nice, too. There’s something about cities that wakes me up and energizes me. I love walking around and just taking it all in. My sister and I visited Boston together a couple years ago for the first time and I fell in love. Maybe I would go there.

If we’re talking about a realistic ideal day, it would probably be spent at my apartment, in some hideous sweatpants, blogging and making jewelry and not wearing any makeup. That sounds pretty nice, too.
Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

One more thing you should know is that I secretly want to run a marathon at some point in my life. It just seems like it would be an incredible accomplishment and one of those proud moments to tell my future kids about.

What are you loving on Copious right now? Send me links of things you love and tell me why.

Copious Crush: Lauren Maxwell, Life Without Tanlines

image

What do we love about Lauren? We’ll name three things, out of approximately a million. 1) Her sarcastic but sunny personality - it’s a tricky balance, but she does it so well. 2) Her ability to break down and analyze runway trends, and then rock the styles in a way that’s super fresh, and super her. 3) Her decidedly charming devotion to Harry Potter - check out this Lord Voldemort T in the guise of Vuitton.

Shop Lauren’s closet on Copious here: http://copious.com/profiles/lauren-maxwell-2

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

My name is Lauren Maxwell, I’m from Arizona, and I’m currently a student majoring in journalism!

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is hard to describe. I believe that different parts of my personality are shown through my daily outfits, but one thing I’ve always stuck to is keeping things simple. I enjoy adding small pops of flair here and there.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

Do I have fashion regrets? Of course, but everything I’ve looked back on and disliked has helped my personal style grow and improve. I will never stop wearing black skinny jeans – they are perfect dressed up or down.

 What inspires you?

I am inspired by the past for the most part. I love the elegance of women who dressed themselves up everyday, just for the sake of it. I wish this was still how everyone dressed in the modern world.

Tell me about Life Without Tanlines. What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?

Life Without Tanlines started after I decided I wanted to blog about my experiences as a model. I used to play tennis competitively and my agency always bothered me about the tan lines my clothing would give me so I become a bit obsessive about not only getting rid of them, but keeping them gone. I like to focus on the idea that you can still be stylish no matter where you’re from. My goal is to expand it more after my trip to New York this summer.

What are you listening to?

Right now I am listening to Imagine Dragons and of course good ol’ Frank Sinatra.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day usually consists of me heading to school, browsing Style.com and Models.com for daily fashion industry updates, and then blogging at night while watching my new favorite show Breaking Bad.

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

I guess one more fun fact about me is that I am obsessed with black shoes. I must own thirty different pairs – it’s getting to be a very difficult to justify buying a new pair.

What are you loving on Copious right now?

Copious Crush: Kat Tanita, New York Blogger on the Verge of Greatness

Go visit WithLoveFromKat.com, and then tell us if you need an explanation on why we’re crushing on Kat Tanita. Super stylish and pulled together, but still cool - that’s our type of girl. Happy 2 Year Blogaversary, Kat! Shop Kat’s closet on Copious here: http://copious.com/profiles/kat-tanita

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

My name is Kat Tanita.  I write a style blog called With Love From Kat (www.withlovefromkat.com) and recently started my own social media consulting business.  I live in New York City, but was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is classic and feminine with touches of bohemian and downtown elements.  Living in New York and working in the fashion industry has definitely influenced my style.

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?

Hmmm I’ve definitely had some ugly fashion moments, but can’t really pin point one outfit.  My style has evolved, but I will never stop wearing Pucci scarves, gold jewels, and black ballet flats.

What inspires you?

Blogs and magazines inspire me, but my greatest source of inspiration is Pinterest.  I love looking at street style photos on there.

Tell me about With Love from Kat. What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?

With Love From Kat is a style blog that highlights my personal style and touches on décor (I majored in interior design), travel (my passion) and city life.  My goals for 2013 are to continue to grow my blog, attend Paris Fashion Week in the Fall, and be featured in a major magazine.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?

My ideal day would be sleeping in (I’m not a morning person!), waking up to breakfast in bed, and then wandering around the city with my boyfriend of 6 years; Tommy.  We would window shop, snap pictures, grab food at a new restaurant, walk along the High Line, and then head home and watch a movie in bed.  That’s pretty much what we did today (minus the breakfast in bed – hint, hint Tommy!)  I relish my low-key weekends here in New York because most of the time they aren’t so low-key!

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.

Some of my favorite pieces in my closet come from vintage or consignment stores.  I love Copious because it’s well laid out and has great tastemakers that enhance the buying experience!

What are you loving on Copious right now?

 I’m loving….

Pour La Victoire ballet flats: http://copious.com/listings/pour-la-victoire-licia-leather-flats

I love Pour La Victoire shoes - they’re such great quality.  I would wear these with everything - the neutral color is perfect!

YSL bag: http://copious.com/listings/yves-saint-laurent-double-y-beige-tan-leather-tote-handbag

I love the color and shape of this bag - I’m a big bag person.  I always have my camera or an extra pair of shoes in my purse - this would be big enough to hold both!

Emilio pucci scarf: http://copious.com/listings/auth-emilio-pucci-firenze-multicolor-cotton-printed-scarf

The bright colors in this scarf are beautiful.  You could wear it in your hair, around your shoulders, or on a bag - so classic!

putthison:

Side-Creased Trousers and King George V

I’ve been reading bits and pieces of the book “Savile Row: An Illustrated History” for the past few days and it’s full of wonderful little stories about tailors and their clients.

One particular story I found amusing to learn was the topic of creases on one’s trousers. Currently, almost every dress trouser available comes creased down the center of the leg and just about the only pants that aren’t creased in this manner are for casual wear, like denim or work chinos.

But I was a bit surprised to find this wasn’t always the case. As it turns out, King George V actually made a bit of a fashion statement at least as far back as 1922 as the Chicago Tribune reported:

SIDE CREASES IN TROUSERS

LONDON, June 9 — Trousers creased down the sides instead of the front are a sartorial innovation to be introduced by King George at the Ascot races. The late King Edward occasionally wore side-creased trousers, and Admiral Beatty is seen with them.

On Ascot Day the King will wear a gray worsted morning jacket with broad, single-breasted lapels, three-buttoned front and an outside pocket. HIs Majesty’s tie will be white or a combination of his racing colors slipped through an old-fashioned gold ring. He will wear white gloves with black stitching.

You can see King George V’s side-creased trousers above (he’s on the right) as he stands next to his first cousin, Tsar Nicholas II.

But the love of side-creased trousers didn’t exactly stay in the family. His son, the rebellious Prince of Wales, Edward VIII, wasn’t fond of the look. According to “Savile Row”:

Davies made the royal pants with old-fashioned side creases, so the Prince ordered extra trousers with each suit; then he could switch to front creases when beyond his father’s reach.

I do wonder if side-creased trousers will ever return and can’t think of a modern advocate for them. Perhaps an adventurous bespoke customer will have an extra pair made with their next suit. It’d be interesting, to say the least.

Copious Crushes: Liza Quin and Paloma Dueñas, The305abulouS.com

image

We’re getting a little bit sick of winter weather and dreaming of beaches and sunshine. Our remedy for holding on for warmer weather? Dreaming of Miami heat with the wonderful ladies behind http://www.the305abulous.com, Liza and Paloma. Read more, and heat up!

Introduce Yourselves! What are your names, where do you live, and what do you do?

Hello! I’m Liza Quin, aka Miss Quin. I am a Cuban-American professional singer/songwriter and performer, raised and currently living in Miami, who has worked in the music industry for over 15 years writing songs for  well known artists as well as performing as a recording artist and back up singer with big name acts, albums and tours. Blog photographer and best friend Paloma Dueñas, aka Miss Amor, is a music therapist, singer and photographer from Mexico City, who has lived in Miami for the last 12 years. After having met over 8 years ago, the multi-talented Miss Amor has collaborated with me on music projects and been my go-to photographer for most of the images throughout my career. Naturally, when the idea of creating the305abulous came about, I knew she was the one who would capture its essence perfectly.

How did you two meet?
Paloma and I met through a dear friend of mine who also happened to co-write and produce most of the music for my albums.

How would you describe your personal style?
I consider my personal style part rock n’ roll, part casual chic, and part body conscious. (After all, it’s always hot in the305abulous!)

Do you have any fashion regrets? Or vice versa, things you’ll never stop wearing?
I’m sure if I dig through old photos I’ll have plenty of fashion regrets. But right now, I feel most comfortable in my own skin, so I’m a little more aware of what I think works for my body and what’s comfortable. Doesn’t mean I always get it right, but at least I’m a little more aware and can say…uh, that doesn’t work! lol. My closet right now is over flowing with stretchy black pants.  They go with everything. I can dress them up and dress them down easily, and they’re the most comfortable piece of clothing to both rehearse in and perform in.

What inspires you?
I get a lot of inspiration from fellow bloggers, from street style I see when I travel, from the music I make, and from other entertainers, of course. I love a lot of the style that British artists explore. It’s a cool mix of grunge, and punk, and sexy, and sweet that I’m really into right now.

Tell me about The 305abulous. What do you focus on? Any goals for 2013?
The305abulouS.com is a blog I created as a labor of love, an answer to the question of “where did you get that?” and a means to inspire the fashion lover, the creative thinker, and the shopping obsessed. I consider it a diary of my personal style, favorite looks, finds, and places to shop set in some special corners of 305abulous Miami and captured through the lense of photographyBYpaloma.

Our goal with the305abulous.com going into its second year of existence is to inspire as many people as we can to explore their own personal style at any price point. We believe being fabulous doesn’t necessarily mean spending a lot.
What are you listening to right now?

LIZA: I’m listening to the new Bruno Mars album, and also to a lot of dance records like some Ingrosso, Guetta. I’m writing for a dance project, so I’m getting in the zone.
PALOMA: Right now? Gotye live in my living room! But I like everything! anything from Erykah Badu, The Roots, Jill Scott, Music Soulchild, Robert Glasper to never tired of classics like Miles Davis and Billie Holiday, my Salsero side Ismael Rivera and lots of Fania! But lately I’ve fell in love with Brazilian music like Djavan, Seu Jorge, Luciana Souza and Ed Motta….just to name a few.

Tell me about your ideal day. What do you do, where do you go, who are you with?
LIZA: I absolutely love my job, but when I finally do get a day off I love to sleep in without the alarm bugging me, drink a giant cup of coffee slowly while reading a fashion mag, work out, and end the night with a movie while cuddling with someone special.

PALOMA: I’ve been called a “busy body” before because I’m a multi tasker! I wake up always do my meditation, go somewhere to do music therapy sessions with my students.  I see photography everywhere I go and in everything I do, so always trying to capture a special moment Thank GOD for iPhones!!
Photoshoots and photo editing are part of my usual day, especially with so many cool apps. And I always try to squeeze in a workout or some type of music practice. I’m a night person so either reading (I always have like 5 books on my bedside table) or working on some art project….my point is to ALWAYS be creating.

Anything I should have asked that I didn’t? Tell me one more thing I should know.
LIZA: Well, I’m a Taurus. There’s something I didn’t mention. Lol!

PALOMA: I’m very much LIBRA, music therapist, singer, photographer, teaching artist, autism specialist …oh yes! And born and raised in Mexico City!! Lol

What are you loving on Copious right now?
I’m loving the following items on Copious right now:

It’s sexy and graphic and has really cool strappy shoulders.

Love this! Casual but still chic. </br></br>image
These are great. I love studded gloves, and since I’m usually dressed in all black, I love when the gloves pop a bit in a color. Plus, this shade of blue is one of my favorites, when I do rock a color.

Inside Copious: Michael Oh, Designer Vagabond, Hello Kitty Advocate

image

Michael is a jack of all trades working as both a designer and front end developer at Copious.  Not one to sit still for long, his list of New Years Resolutions keeps getting longer and longer (sky diving, Egypt… there’s no end).  Check out he finally came around to his chosen career path after a stint in India and the melange of troublemaking he gets into when he’s not at work.

Introduce yourself.  Who are you?

Michael Oh. Designer/front end developer at Copious. Vagabond, constant traveller, science lover, movie and documentary maniac.

What do you do at Copious?

I design and code things.

What did you do before Copious?

Trying out different things. I majored in graphic design at Rhode Island School of Design and was an aspiring art director.  To broaden my scope and experience I worked at a branding agency in NYC and also flew over to India and worked as a production designer for a Bollywood film, “Karthik Calling Karthik”. Then towards the end of the first semester of my senior year, I found out about service, user-interface and user-experience design and it was such an epiphany. It just blew my mind and loved the fact that design wasn’t just about the veneer of the product and packaging things nicely. I took a huge turn in my career path and decided to fly over to San Francisco, the mecca of such field and the rest is history.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

San Francisco is such a drastic contrast to where I used to live: South Korea, Rhode Island and New York. I used to go out and clubbing a lot, as I am a big fan of dance and music. Those scenes are not as interesting in SF but I love the parks and food over here. I read and surf around the web a lot to learn and catch up as much and fast as possible, because I had a late start in this industry. Also, I watch a lot of movies and documentaries. I miss travelling.

How do you describe your personal style?

Fickle. It changes almost every two years. I don’t dress up as much anymore, but currently I like being simple and comfy.

What’s your favorite Sanrio character?

Ha, guiding question. HELLO KITTY OF COURSE DUH. (Never was a fan of one, somehow I was stigmatized as a die hard fan. Best part is it doesn’t seem to go away.)

Which Backstreet Boy do you identify with the most?

I like Beyonce.

What’re your New Years Resolutions?

Constantly make Copious better.  Get fit. Sky diving. Go to Egypt and see pyramids with my own bare eyes with my best friend Paul (life-long traveling buddy).

Copious Crush: Ilse, Full Figured Potential

If you’ve never stumbled across Full Figured Potential on Tumblr, you’re missing out on an amazing mix of style, advice, music and pop culture. Ilse Giselle is a fab, fierce LA blogger who is possible Lena Dunham’s biggest fan. We <3 you, Ilse!

Introduce Yourself! What’s your name, where do you live, and what do you do?

I’m Ilse Giselle pronounced [ill-say] and I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger from Los Angeles.

How would you describe your personal style?

I’m a true city girl; I value comfort and versatility in my style above all else. I was a tomboy growing up and while I’m exploring more feminine silhouettes and pieces my style still reflects that boyish edge and has heavy streetwear influences.

Do you have any things you’ll never stop wearing?

Yes! Sneakers, I will never stop wearing sneakers.

What inspires you?

Everything, people, books and music. It’s pretty amazing how sometimes the most unexpected situations or people can leave you feeling inspired and motivated.

Tell me about Full Figured Potential. What do you focus on?

Full Figured Potential started as a place to highlight plus size fashion and inspirational and chic plus size women. It later developed more into a lifestyle blog, and eventually I got over the shyness and started featuring my personal style.

What are you listening to right now?

I’ve been listening to Kendrick Lamar’s album good kid, m.A.A.d city. Milo Greene and a lot of Chief Keef in the past couple of days.

What are you loving on Copious right now?

Do I even need to explain why I love this bag?

I have several pairs of sneaker wedges but I mean I could always make room for these!

I’ve been having this long love affair with round sunglasses.
